Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida

Lyoto Machida is the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and is currently undefeated with a record of 16-0. He was born in Brazil and is of Japanese and Brazilian decent and is the son of a Shotokan karate master.

So far in the UFC, Lyoto is 8-0 with 2 KOs and 1 Submission. Both knockouts were memorable.

The first was against Thiago Silva and gave him his first career loss. Late in round number 1, both men were wrapped up on the side of the Octagon when Machida did a leg sweep to take Silva down and threw one vicious punch that landed clean with his head pinned to the mat. The Dragon won with 1 second left in the round.

The second fight was Lyoto's chance to win the Light Heavyweight Championship. It was an unforgettable fight as Machida was frustrating Evans from the start of the fight. In the second round, he caught Rashad clean and Evans was out before he hit the ground.
